EMF Detox – How to Discharge Extra Energy From Your Body

EMFs and wireless technology, collectively known as electrosmog, are not going anywhere. I was reminded tonight when we stopped for dinner at our local Panera Bread. And, I was reminded of the need to regularly do an EMF detox.

Don’t get me wrong, we like this place. It is actually the closest thing to fast food that we do as a family. (We have learned to customize our meals to eliminate trigger foods like GMOs, gluten, bad oils, and other more processed selections.)

However, tonight we noticed something new. When we were eating at the tables, I happened to touch under our table and observed what you see in the picture above. . . Yes, we actually flipped over the table to take a better look and we found another form of electrosmog, which I will explain in more detail below.

It prompted me to write this article as a reminder that all of us are exposed to electrosmog on a regular basis. When we are out and about, we are continuously being exposed to electromagnetic frequencies (EMFs), wireless (Wi-Fi) radiation, and dirty electricity. It is not optimal, but there are EMF detox strategies you can do to lessen its effects on your body as you will learn below.

One of the best things you can do is mitigate your own home as much as possible. As I explain in this previous article, there are many things you can do to make your home a safe haven, free from many types of electrosmog. This allows your body to recuperate from outside electrosmog sources that are out of your control.

Even more important is making your bedroom an electrosmog safe haven, since this is where you typically spend 7 to 9 consistent hours. Removing all electronics and wireless devices is crucial here. This is where your body can decompress and recuperate during the night. While you sleep is also when your brain detoxifies.

(The brain actually shrinks like a sponge being squeezed while you sleep, so that toxins and metabolic wastes can move out of the brain and into the body where they can be eliminated.)

Another thing you can do is purposely ground your body, allowing it to discharge its excess energy. I call this an EMF detox.

There are multiple inexpensive and easy ways to do this and the more you can do on a daily basis, the better.

  • walk around in your yard with bare feet – wet or dewy grass (or even damp soil) is best
  • take a walk in nature – bathing yourself in the energy of trees or hug a tree in your yard if you don’t have time to take a walk (it works!)
  • sit in the sun – exposing as much of your skin as possible without sunscreen 10 to 20 minutes
  • take an Epsom salt bath for 10 to 20 minutes – helps to balance the body and replenish the magnesium that electrosmog depletes from the body
  • stand on a piece of aluminum foil with bare feet – leave a piece in your bathroom and do this while brushing your teeth
  • take a walk on the beach with your feet in the ocean
  • get an ion foot bath – this produces an effect similar to walking in the ocean
  • have a picnic in the grass (without a blanket) or lay on the ground to connect with nature
  • get a detox clay pack – targeted mud packs will help clear interference fields in your body and restore balance

As you can see, connecting with nature is key to detoxing from EMFs. Mother nature is a wonderful curative!

Some of you may have also heard of grounding mats or sheets as a means of grounding. This is another option but one you need to be careful with these, especially in the United States, because electrical current is allowed to return to the electrical substation through the ground. Stray currents can end up back in your house in unexpected places and actually cause the grounding mats to make you feel worse if you are not careful.

Other things you can do to reduce your overall exposure to electrosmog include mitigate your smart meter, reduce electrosmog at work (find some basic suggestions here), and talk to your children’s schools about limiting electrosmog in the classroom.

Also know that if there has been long-term exposure to electrosmog,  other things may need to be done to support and/or rebuild the body: targeted detox, nutrition, mitochondria support, etc. Doing a more extensive “digital detox” where you abstain from using all electronics for specific length of time may also be necessary.

Getting back to Panera. . .When I asked what that was under the table, they told us it was an RFID system. Apparently, this is the direction many “fast casual” restaurants are heading. It is a wireless system used in combination with the pagers you get upon ordering to allow servers to find your table and management to collect analytical data on your visit.

This new technology will not stop us from eating at Panera Bread again, however, next time we will most like do takeout and eat it at home. . . or have a picnic in the grass. 🙂

Keep yourself safe in our EMF world.
