Spring Cleaning For Strong Immune System

As a child I remember helping my mom “spring clean” the entire house, moving furniture and thoroughly cleaning every surface. I have to admit that I am not as diligent as my mom when it comes to my own house. However, Spring is a also a great time to clean out and prepare your body for the warmer months.

A good cleanse can help with allergies as well as your immune system. You also want to be prepared to support your body when bitten by ticks, fleas, and other bugs. And, don’t forget to limit your exposure to EMFs and wireless radiation, both of which can weaken your immune system. Learn more below.


After the more sedentary winter months, spring is an good time to cleanse the body, especially if you tend to have allergy symptoms. You can do this in a number of ways – by eating really clean for a couple of weeks, doing a one to three-day water fast, using a homeopathic cleanse, or taking the correct combination of supplements. Spring is also a good time to do a parasite cleanse.

Personally, I like to do a three-day lemon water fast to help reset my body. However, fasting is not optimal for everyone and in fact can be detrimental if you have certain toxins like heavy metals. I also like using a homeopathic combination that works on cleansing the liver, colon, kidneys and lungs. The recent flooding rains seem to have woken up the chiggers in our yard three months earlier than normal. So, it is a good reminder to have some special homeopathics on hand.

Reducing your exposure to EMFs and wireless devices is another way to detox your body and strengthen your immune system. Wireless radiation actually affects the outer membrane of your cells so that is it more difficult for toxins to leave the cell and nutrients to enter the cell.

To take it to the next level, consider doing a “digital cleanse” and purposely avoid all technology for a certain length of time. You would be amazed at what total avoidance of all things digital can do for your health.

Take an afternoon off and be in nature or find one day a week that you can avoid all electronics. In the meantime, use the list here to start a daily “EMF detox” regimen.
