Cilantro Garlic Dressing

If you like garlic and cilantro, you will love this dressing. Not only does it taste wonderful, but both garlic and cilantro have many healing properties.

Garlic is great for your immune system and acts as a natural anti-microbial. (You can learn more about garlic’s benefits here.)

Cilantro’s green leaves and stems are full of nutrients and are known to provide antioxidant properties, reduce inflammation in the body, help with digestive problems, assist heart health, and improve skin issues. It is also a great detoxifier, known to remove heavy metals from the body.* (The seeds produced by the cilantro plant, known as coriander, have additional healing properties.)

This dressing is quick to make in the blender. Just follow the recipe below.

Cilantro Garlic Dressing
3/4 cup organic olive oil
1/4 cup organic avocado oil
3 tbsp. organic apple cider vinegar
1/2 organic lemon, juiced
1 small bunch (or half large bunch) of cilantro (discard the thick end of stems)
3-4 organic garlic cloves, peeled
1/2 tsp. sea salt or Himalayan salt (or to taste)

Put all ingredients into blender and mix on high until blended and creamy. (If you don’t have a high speed blender, you can also use a tall mixing bowl with an immersion blender.) Pour over your favorite salad. Store in refrigerator, but remove and let sit for an hour to allow it to liquefy and shake/stir before using. Keeps for 4 to 5 days.

NOTE: If you eat lots of cilantro or plan on taking cilantro in capsule form, you may want to consider including a binder supplement to help bind and remove the heavy metals from the body.
