I feel compelled once again to share wisdom and healing from others. Partly because so many things are being censored (and therefore harder to find on the internet), but also because right now we all could use additional help in so many areas of our lives. Just one monthly article from yours truly can’t cover it all.

There are some great resources and many gifted healers out there if you know where to look. Maybe you will be inspired by one or more of the people featured below.

We are all here on this great earth to learn and grow and improve ourselves. As each of us strives to become a better person, we automatically help and improve those around us.

Things may seem more challenging right now, but remember that great growth can come from our largest challenges. Personal growth. Family growth. Community growth. National growth. Global growth.

Humming as an Anti-Viral Agent

I attended a weekend workshop with Jonathan Goldman over 20 years ago, learning how to chant. It was a powerful experience, especially with such a large group of people all chanting at the same time. I still use some of the tools I learned from him. In this article, he explains how the simple act of humming stimulates your body’s creation of nitric oxide which acts as a natural antibacterial, antiviral, and anti-fungal, among other things. He even includes a link to a video by one of my mentors, Dr. Deitrich Klinghardt, who explains that the key is humming while exhaling. (It is even good for chronic sinus issues!)

The Innate Immune System and How Your Body Really Heals

Our body’s ability to self-heal is amazing. It was created to always move toward health, provided we give it the tools it needs and remove the obstacles. Our innate immune system is key as it is our first defense against things like viruses. We are all walking around with thousands of viruses in our body – they are all around us in the air we breathe, in our soil, in our ocean water, etc. We are supposed to be exposed to them. As Dr. Zach Bush explains here in this must see 20 minute video, science is now proving how viruses help our RNA and DNA evolve, so we become stronger as an individual and as a planet. Viruses are literally the “genomic template for life.” We should not be afraid of them.

In this second video Dr. Zach Bush put together an amazing panel of speakers to discuss how to enhance our innate immune system so we can self-heal our bodies as well as our plant. Learn from a former industry expert about hidden toxins in our food supply and why it is so difficult for industry to change, a scientist about viruses and how they really work in our body, an integrative medical doctor (and another of my mentors) about his top health recommendations, and an MD turned functional movement expert about the idea of lifestyle as medicine and how stress wrecks your immune system. So many things can be done to improve your health, on your own and in your own home. When you need more assistance, I am here to help you. (This is a longer talk but very worth it! The last 10 minutes or so is more specific to the c-virus.)

Proof Your Words Affect Yourself and Others

I have been enjoying Debra Poneman’s short but powerful Saturday messages for close to a year now. In this more recent message, she again shares her near death experience where she literally saw words leave her caregiver’s mouths and affect her body as she was fighting to stay alive in the ER. Stories about near death experiences have fascinated me for years and this one has a good lesson/reminder for everyone!

Releasing Betrayal for Better Health

Most of us now know that our mental and emotional state can greatly affect our physical health. That is why my work with clients encompasses physical as well as the mental, emotional and spiritual healing. There are a number of practitioners talking about the many forms of trauma and how to heal from it, the big distinction being the difference between “little-T” trauma and “big-T” trauma. However, Debi Silber has come across another huge emotional component that can greatly affect your health: betrayal. After her own life betrayals she dove deep into studying how betrayal can be used to help you grow to new levels, as she explains in this interview and her book. You can also take her quiz to determine the betrayals in your life. (For some of you, the events of this past year could be considered a betrayal.)

 “Long Haulers” versus Chronic Lyme

I totally agree with this opinion piece. C-virus “long haulers” are not unlike chronic Lyme Disease patients. The reason for both is often unexplainable and typically very difficult to help with traditional medicine alone. I too have chronic Lyme, most likely from childhood, but have successfully managed it with a wide variety of modalities and remedies over the years, even during episodes of heavy metal poisoning, toxic mold exposure, and when I crashed after giving birth to my son. It can be done, but you need to be open to trying new things and be ready to take charge of your own health.

Why Smiles Matter

I wanted to share this new website that is spreading the word about why smiles matter and the research that shows the importance of seeing facial expressions, especially for children. Created by “Think Too Much Mom” Ronni Peck who researched the societal impact of the 2014 Ebola pandemic in West Africa for a documentary she co-wrote.
